If this Ashes series has proven one thing, it’s that Stuart Broad has David Warner’s number. The opening batsman was out to England’s opener for the fifth time in seven innings this series on day one at Old Trafford, and this was perhaps the worst of the lot. 

Stuck in two minds whether to leave or play the ball, Warner was caught behind after two balls, and the England fans are loving it on Twitter. 

The Ozzie is not the most popular character in world cricket, and has a long history with England. Therefore, this could not happen to a better player in the fans’ eyes, and he’s received a ribbing on social media. 

Warner has been declared by many fans as Broad’s “bunny”, as no player has got him out more times in test cricket. The Nottinghamshire seamer has always been dangerous against any opponent, but he now has Warner “in his pocket”, and is living in his head “rent free”. 

With three more innings for Warner to face this series against Broad, England fans will hope nothing changes. This was the reaction:
